  • 2 Maximize Potential: Help every student-athlete reach their full potential athletically and academically
  • 3 Create Memories: Build lifelong relationships and unforgettable experiences

Program History

Founded in 1947 as Dublin High School under head coach Alfred Gabriel, the Shamrocks football program has built a proud, multi-generational tradition of excellence on the gridiron. The team captured its first league championships under Ken Zarbaugh in 1951 and 1952, laying the groundwork for what would become one of the premier Division I powerhouses in Ohio high school football. Officially renamed Dublin Coffman High School in 1988 as the community expanded, the program reached unprecedented heights during the golden era of head coach Mark Crabtree (2001–2020), who compiled an outstanding 179-55 record, captured 15 Ohio Capital Conference (OCC) Central Division titles, and brought home three regional championship trophies. Renowned across the country for producing elite, next-level talent, the Rocks have sent legendary alumni into the collegiate and NFL ranks—including standout stars like Brady Quinn, Mike Adams, Vince Workman, and Jake Stoneburner. Boasting over 480 all-time program victories, deep postseason pedigree, and a standard of relentless execution, Dublin Coffman Football enters its exciting modern chapter fueled by that same championship expectation under Head Coach Nick McVay.
